The Zonal Coordinator of the Network of Civil Society Organisations Against Child Trafficking, Abuse and Labour (NACTAL), Amb. Dr Grace Maikudi, has called for the establishment of a task force to strengthen the network's activities in Bauchi State.
Maikudi made the call during the inauguration of the newly elected State Executive Committee of NACTAL, held on October 12, 2026, at the LANGA Women Conference Hall in Bauchi.
She said establishing the task force would enhance coordination, facilitate the network's activities and improve its effectiveness in addressing child trafficking, abuse and labour.
The zonal coordinator congratulated the new executives and urged them to demonstrate commitment, teamwork and dedication in carrying out their duties.
The oath of office was administered to the new executives by Barrister Margaret Iko at the ceremony.
The newly inaugurated State Coordinator, Hajia Binta Adamu, expressed gratitude to representatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and other participants for their support.
Adamu urged members and stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and work in unity towards achieving the organisation's objectives.
She reaffirmed the importance of collective action in advancing NACTAL's mission in Bauchi State, Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
The inauguration was described as an important milestone in strengthening the network's leadership and operational capacity, with a renewed commitment to addressing issues affecting vulnerable children and other at-risk groups.
