From Moh'd Nasir Shuaibu BAUCHI
Members of Youth Ambassadors Bauchi have engaged Hon. Sodangi Adam Chindo, an aspirant for Bauchi Federal Constituency in theqq House of Representatives, on his political ambition and experience in community development.
The interactive session, held on Friday, October 16, at the residence of the late Alhaji Aminu Dauda in Kobi, Bauchi, brought together the aspirants and young people representing different neighbourhoods of the Bauchi metropolis.
The meeting was organised to enable the youths to understand Chindo’s background, development experience and motivation for seeking a seat in the House of Representatives.
Addressing the participants, Chindo outlined his involvement in community development activities in Bauchi and Yobe states, including programmes relating to maternal and child healthcare, women's and youth empowerment, and education.
He also highlighted efforts to address the problem of out-of-school children and the need for collaboration among community stakeholders to improve living conditions.
Members of his campaign team, including the Director-General, Youth Leader and Director of the Research Committee, joined him in explaining his background and political objectives.
The interaction also provided an opportunity to discuss the importance of youth participation in political processes and the need for elected representatives to maintain contact with their constituents.
Members of Youth Ambassadors Bauchi expressed satisfaction with the explanations provided during the meeting and declared their support for Chindo’s ambition, as stated in the campaign organisation’s report.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views between the aspirant and the youths, highlighting the role of direct engagement in helping young people assess political aspirants and communicate their expectations.
