The ARISE FOR TINUBU/SHETTIMA SUPPORT 2027 movement has declared its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 general elections.
The National Coordinator of the movement, Hon. Muhammad Muhammad Muhammad, made the declaration during a press conference, where he said the group’s decision was based on its belief in continuity, stability and consolidation of ongoing national reforms.
According to him, the movement believes that the challenges confronting Nigeria require sustained efforts, consistency and collective responsibility, stressing that ongoing reforms should be given the opportunity to produce lasting results.
He said the group would support policies and programmes aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, transportation, technology, commerce and human capital development.
The movement also expressed particular support for initiatives targeted at young people and women, including employment creation, entrepreneurship, vocational and technical education, skills acquisition and access to economic opportunities.
Hon. Muhammad said the movement considers youth and women empowerment critical to Nigeria’s economic development, adding that young Nigerians should be provided with opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the country’s growth.
On education and healthcare, the group called for continued investment in the two sectors, describing quality education as essential to preparing Nigerians for the modern economy and accessible healthcare as fundamental to national productivity.
The movement also pledged to promote peaceful political participation and responsible communication throughout the 2027 electioneering period.
It rejected political violence, hate speech, religious intolerance and ethnic division, while urging its members and supporters to respect Nigerians with different political opinions.
“Political differences must never become reasons for Nigerians to regard one another as enemies,” the movement said, stressing the need for political disagreements to be resolved through dialogue and democratic engagement.
As part of its objectives, the group said it would mobilise citizens peacefully, promote awareness of the policies and programmes of the Renewed Hope Agenda, encourage youth and women participation in politics, and promote responsible use of social media.
The movement acknowledged that Nigeria continues to face significant challenges but argued that such challenges should encourage constructive participation rather than hopelessness.
It expressed its vision of a Nigeria where young people have access to skills and employment opportunities, businesses can grow, farmers can prosper, children receive quality education, healthcare is accessible and infrastructure supports economic development.
The group further maintained that national development cannot be achieved by government alone, calling for the collective participation of citizens, businesses, professionals, young people, women, traditional institutions, civil society organisations and other stakeholders.
The movement therefore reaffirmed its support for the APC and the second-term bid of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima, urging Nigerians to remain peaceful, informed and united throughout the electoral process.
Hon. Muhammad said the movement believes in “continuity where continuity can strengthen development” and pledged to contribute to efforts aimed at building a more prosperous, secure and united Nigeria.
