Bauchi State
We, the members of Bauchi Forward Initiative (BFI), under the leadership of our Chairman, Alh. Mohammed Bello Abdulkadir, and as committed supporters of the APC in Bauchi State, wish to respectfully appeal to our Supreme Leader, His Excellency, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, to kindly reconsider the apparent lack of acknowledgment of the Grand Reception organized in his honour on 27th August 2026 at Double 4 Event Centre, GRA, Bauchi.
The reception was organized out of genuine respect, loyalty and commitment to His Excellency and to our great party, the APC. Members of the Bauchi Forward Initiative made significant personal sacrifices and spent over ₦4 million to ensure that the event was befitting of a leader whom we hold in high regard.
However, more than a month after the event, we have yet to receive any formal acknowledgment, appreciation or encouragement from His Excellency. We sincerely believe that this may not have been deliberate, and it is in that spirit that we are making this appeal.
For us, this is not merely about an event or the financial resources committed to it. It is about the morale of the people who stood behind the initiative, particularly our 20 Local Government Coordinators, youth groups and other grassroots supporters who contributed their time, resources and energy because of their belief in the leadership of Prof. Pate and the APC.
Grassroots politics is built on relationships, recognition, communication and a sense of belonging. When people who make personal sacrifices for a political cause feel unnoticed or unappreciated, it can gradually weaken their enthusiasm and commitment. The consequences may extend beyond BFI to the wider network of grassroots supporters who look up to political leaders for encouragement and inclusion.
We therefore respectfully appeal to His Excellency, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, to extend a hand of recognition and encouragement to the Bauchi Forward Initiative and its members. Even a simple acknowledgment of their sacrifice would go a long way in restoring confidence, strengthening relationships and motivating the grassroots to remain committed to the collective objectives of the APC.
We are making this appeal not out of anger, but out of concern, loyalty and a desire to see a stronger and more united APC in Bauchi State. We remain committed to the party and continue to respect the leadership of Prof. Pate. However, we believe that political leadership is strengthened when those at the grassroots feel heard, valued and appreciated.
Our appeal is therefore simple: please do not allow the sacrifice and goodwill of your grassroots supporters to go unnoticed. Reconsider, reach out to them, and restore the confidence that brought them together in the first place.
The Bauchi Forward Initiative remains open to dialogue and constructive engagement, and we sincerely hope that this appeal will be received in the spirit in which it is made.
