The family of the late Elder Statesman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and former Governor of the defunct Gongola State, has released burial arrangements for the departed patriarch.
In a statement signed by Barrister Awwal Tukur, the family disclosed that the corpse will arrive Yola, the Adamawa State capital, on Saturday.
According to the statement, the late elder statesman will be laid to rest on Sunday, 13th September, 2026, after funeral prayers at the Lamido’s Palace by 10:00am.
Alhaji Bamanga Tukur passed away three days to his 91st birthday. He is survived by two wives and 18 children, among them the Secretary to the Government of Adamawa State, Awwal Tukur.
