Bauchi Governor Awards 2027 Hajj Seats to Four Media Practitioners

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has awarded four seats for the 2027 Hajj exercise to media practitioners in the state, in recognition of their contributions to information dissemination and public awareness.

The beneficiaries are Sulaiman Isa of the African Independent Television, AIT; Shaharuddeen Galaje, a photographer with the Bauchi State Government House; Jama’uddeen Inuwa; and Yusuf Danmaliki, who are active in blogging and social media.

The Hajj seats were awarded through the office of the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Muktar Gidado, who described the gesture as an appreciation of the media’s role in promoting government activities and keeping citizens informed.

Comrade Muktar Gidado also urged the beneficiaries to see the opportunity as a responsibility to pray for the peace, progress and development of Bauchi State and Nigeria, while assuring them of the administration’s continued support for the media.

The beneficiaries were presented with documents relating to the Bauchi State Government’s 2027 Hajj exercise, marking their selection to participate in the forthcoming pilgrimage.

The Director of Press Affairs, Government House, Sulaiman Alhassan Dambam, delivered a vote of thanks, appreciating the Governor for recognising the contributions of media practitioners and urging the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture through dedicated service and responsible media practice.

In separate remarks, the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Mohammed, Comrade Muktar Gidado and the Bauchi State Government for the gesture, describing it as a privilege and praying for Allah’s guidance and a successful Hajj exercise.
