By Samuel Luka, Bauchi

The reconstruction work on the private residence of Late Abubakar Tatari Ali, the first democratically elected Governor of Bauchi State, has reached nearly 90% completion.

The contractor, Architect Jibrin Mahmoud, expects to complete the project within a month. The project includes a monument with a tomb, museum, mosque, Islamic school, and residential quarters.

According to the State Commissioner of Information, Usman Shehu Usman, the project was awarded by Governor Bala Mohammed during a visit to Zaki Local Government Area.

The governor directed the reconstruction, citing the need to restore the dignity of the late governor's residence, which had fallen into disrepair.

The project also includes a befitting mosque and an Islamic school, reflecting the late governor's commitment to both good governance and religious matters.

The commissioner commended Governor Mohammed for the initiative and appreciated the progress made so far.
